Sophal Pettit has been in the Financial Industry since 1997. She has a Passion for helping families Discover their True Purpose for Money and as a Marketing Director with LifeTyme Financial Group she has the responsibility to share the Vision and Mission of the Company to as many people as possible. As a Survivor of the Killing Fields of Cambodia Sophal’s personal story is very powerful and shows why she has always been destined for success. She was born in Takeo, Cambodia, a small town near the Vietnamese border on July 16th 1970. The oldest of five children. At the very young age of fourteen, she arrived in the United States as a refugee. She is currently working on a Book of her life entitled“My Journey to Heaven.” The first five years of Sophal’s life would be considered normal for a young girl born in a third world country. Little did she know how much her life would change before she would ever be able to start something as basic as school. On April 17th, 1975 the Khmer Rouge, a communist guerrilla group led by Pol Pot, took power in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. They forced all city dwellers into the countryside and into labor camps. During their rule, it is estimated that nearly 2 million Cambodians died by starvation, torture or execution.
Sophal is also an avid cyclist (up to 100 miles each week) and enjoy's working out and hiking. She loves to spend time with her Family and enjoys fellowshipping at Scottsdale Bible Church.
